    Here's a 'workaround' I got from HP India. Save it as "All files" in Notepad,
    as 'hpdirector.js' on your desktop. It worked for me!
    var WshShell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell");

    var dirfile="C:\\Program Files\\Hewlett-Packard\\Digital

    var oExec = WshShell.Exec(dirfile);

    WshShell.SendKeys("%( )"); //equivalent of Alt+spacebar

    WshShell.SendKeys("nn"); //equivalent of click minimize twice

    oExec = WshShell.Exec(dirfile);

    Has anyone heard of a new patch from HP for IE7? If so, have you used it or
    heard if it works?

    I have downloaded the new patch from HP and HP Director works fine with IE7.
    When you go to HP site, you need to search for patch. HP does not make it
    easy to find. My patch came through automatic update from HP.

    Lern 2 snip.

    Non-computer nerd user of IE6.

    If you don't like Internet Explorer 7, and want to go back to IE6,
    go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
    Find Windows Internet Explorer 7, highlight it, and click "Remove".
    That will take you back to IE6. The roll-back process worked
    for me, for which I am grateful to Microsoft.

  5. Have you gone to the HP Web site and looked for updates? HP has known for
    months that their programs had trouble with IE7.
