Why in the name of all things holy have you done the following things in IE7:

    - The menu bar (file, edit, view, etc) is not allowed to be at the very top
of the browser. Why not make the navigation bar a floating toolbar that can
be moved? Why take away customization that the user has now? To make it
worse, you take away that ability and then force the menu bars to always be
lower that the navigation bar which looks strange to most people on the
planet. Quick - name one other program which does not have
file, edit, view, etc immediately below the top Window bar.

    - Maybe I just can't find it, but there really needs to be a way for the
users to shut off the certificate pop-ups by zone (at a minimum). When I'm
in my intranet, I don't want to see the "There is a problem with this
website's security certificate" message everytime I go there from a fresh
browser session. I get this when I go to: any of my VMWare servers, Novell
iManager, and Avocent DSView KVM over ethernet. In other words 3 of the
main pieces I use everyday to manage my servers.

    - My Avocent DSView 3 console which renders and works fine in IE6 and
Firefox does not work in IE7.

I'm one of the only holdouts in my company who is not running Firefox. This
update will force me to go there for my sanity if it stays in it's current
state. Then again, this is what beta's are for right? Let's fix these
    please.

2 solutions for your first bullet point:
    1. Press the "Alt" key
    2. Go to Tools (top right corner) -> Toolbar -> Classic Menu

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Jose, I did find that. My problem is that it is still located under
the navigation toolbar (forward, back, location window, refresh, stop, etc)
