go to Control Panel-Add or Remove Programs and click on Show Updates
checkbox. Search fo ie7 in Windows XP - Software Updates list

    found the answer already:
in the control-panel add/remove software, check the checkbox "show updates".

within the list "windows xp updates" you´'ll find IE7 to uninstall

For everyone out there trying to uninstall. THIS IS A BETA!!!
It is not guaranteed to work fully, so why are you installing it to
    complain and uninstall it again?

Try saving the news group for people willing to try it, stick with it
    and report problems.

Hi guys, I have tried to uninstall the Beta using the method said here.

However, the following error message appears:
"Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview cannot be uninstalled from this user
account. Please log on to the same user account from which it was installed
    and try again."

The funny thing is, I only have 1 user account on my laptop.

So, can anyone out there help me out with this?

    MS guys??

Yup, I have tried logging in as administrator in Safe Mode and trying to
    uninstall it.

    Same error message appears.

I just did a System Restore to rollup my installation....will be giving the
Beta another go, if its still the same problem I'm letting it go....

IE7 killed my antivirus program, sorry this is not a time to "stick with it"
    while my computer gets trashed.

I'm having the same issue with the uninstaller, but given that the IE7
installation is screwed up not even System Restore works: it either shows a
blank window or an error dialog complaining about
InternetGetSecurityInfoByURLW. I tried running it in Safe Mode with command
line only option (windows/system32/restore/rstrui.exe), but still the thing
    didn't work. Suggestions?

It does not show up in my updates. But it does as a program "Internet
Explorer 7 beta 2" I'mm worried if I remove it I may be left with no explorer
and then a bad way..... Can I uninstall from there?

    DAVe! Guest

I found that I was missing a key in the registry to allow me to uninstall.
    HCKYCurrentUser\software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer. I created a new string
value in this folder called InstalledByUser. For the value, I entered in my
account name and it let me uninstall, well I say uninstall, it gets to the
'Updating Registry' then just sits there.

I only wanted hte latest beta version ,and now I have nothing, plus IE is
needed for Outlook so I also have no email app!! pretty bad really. Im now
using Firefox to sort all this out, and I wanna be using IE7!

If you still have a problem then use the Email link in the applications help
    file.
