  2. And what does the error message say?

    Try this:
    Press WinKey+R and type
    regsvr32 ole32.dll
    and press Enter.

This is the message I get:
The module ole32.dll was loaded but the call to dllregister server failed
    with error code 0x8007005

Should I try to repair the ultimate installation ?

    Frank,
There are many people having the same problem with IE7. You cannot print a
page unless you uncheck "Protected Mode".
Also if you are using Vista with IE7 and have moved your "favorites Folder"
you cannot "save to favorites". Not sure if the two are connected. See this
    thread:

    Please answer Frank's first question...

not just your observations of the results of trying to follow his suggestion...

    I suspect a typo for 0x80070005?
Try a search for that? Code often suggests a permissions problem.
Perhaps you should try doing the command using a cmd window with
    Login As... Administrator first?

Not until you understand your symptoms better.

  9. I still don't know what the problem is. I can print with Protected Mode on.

My guess would be printer driver which was incompatible with Vista.

BTW I don't think that your symptom is related to the OP's.
E.g. are you getting a message which bears any resemblance
to its symptom description (vague as it is): "cannot find find file"?
