I'm getting some strange errors frequently when trying to use IE7.

Often, it won't start at all (eg today I've only just got in 7 hrs after
    trying to this morning).

Sometimes it just hangs (trying to open), then eventually
gives me an error message as follows:

In the tab, it says "Go away!"
and in the body of the screen, it just says "Nothing to see here..."

Other times I get "Error 503 Service not available" or "Error 404 Not
    Found", and sometimes other errors.

I use BitDefender Antivirus v10 and Webroot SpySweeper & I'm just finishing
a trial version of ZoneAlarm firewall. None of their sweeps are showing up
any malware, but it seems to be screaming at me that something has got in!

Can anyone throw any light on this?

  2. Do a more thorough malware check.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
    of.
