IE7 - How do I reduce volume or mute sounds for pages that play sounds?

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by Kulvinder Singh Matharu, Sep 10, 2006.

  1. There are a few web pages that insist on playing various background
music, either WAV-type, or MIDI-type, etc and, of course, they are
    damned annoying.

Short of me turning the Windows music volume down, is there a way
that I can reduce the volume inside of IE7? Thanks.

You can stop the backgroun music by pressing the "Stop" button which is used
to stop the loading web pages.
