Hi,\n\nWe are using Windows Server 2003 (IIS6) and have deployed an ASP.NET 2.0 web\nsite. The virtual directory has annonymous access turned off and integrated\nwindows authentication turned on. In the web.config we have impersonation on\n(but no username and password - that is, impersonate the calling user).\n\nFrom IE6 everything works.\n\nForm IE7, it keeps poping up a login box. After 3 times the login fails and\nwe get HTTP error 401.1\n\nIf I turn on annonymous access on the IIS6 virtual directory it works, but\nthen we asre not using integrated windows authentication. If I turn off\nintegrated windows authentication in IE7 it works (and still uses integrated\nwindows authentication). If I access the site by it's IP address instead of\nmachine name it also works.\n\nNote: this is all on a LAN.
