I use a VAIO laptop with a touchpad pointing device (Alps Electric Co.) which
incorporates 'sliding finger' functions. One of these functions is for
'forward' and 'back' navigation in Explorer windows by sliding right/left at
the top of the pad - very useful for browsing the web, or files and folders.

IE7 appears not to support this (IE6 did do, and it still does work in file
    folders).

Can this be incorporated / restored?!
