I have a PC running XP MCE 2005. I recently ran Windows Updates on it and
installed close to 70 updates including the upgrade to IE7. Now, after the
upgrade, IE7 doesn't start. It flashes on the screen for a split second and
then closes. I don't see anything in the Event Logs. Is there another log
file I could check? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. ...I recently ran Windows Updates on it and
Did you also install WinXP SP2?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What
anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)? Were any of them active when you installed IE7?

Don ( and PA Bear ),

I cannot thank you enough for this. I tried searching but I wasn't able to
find that KB. I did what was in KB 928427 and IE started right up. I
    certainly owe you a beer.

    Thanks again,

    Ben Piela
