If I delete all the root hints out of the Root Hints isn't there an easy way
to get them back rather than re-creating by hand or copying from another
    server?

  2. If you are using the Windows Server 2003 DNS management console you can
easily import root hints from another DNS server. It works on Windows 2000
DNS servers. if running the console from XP.
Select the Root Hints tab, then click the "Copy from server" button, The DNS
server you are importing from doesn't even need to be local.
