have cisco pix natting to DMZ IP. have a W2K3 standalone server with IIS and
RRAS. configged web site with SSL on W2K3 that points to (redirects to) and
    internal OWA server.

I want users to use HTTPS from client PC to RRAS/IIS which will then
redirect to OWA, then back out for users to get OWA without Frontend Exchange.

I get to RRAS/IIS via HTTPS, then get nothing when redirecting.

I'm assuming your redirecting from DMZ (https) to internal network (http).
To add SSL all the way through, you'll need to configure SSL on internal box
    that's hosting OWA.

do want https to the DMZ, can secure the DMZ to Internal with IPsec.

the problem is I am not getting the OWA web page to display/access, after I
hit the RRAS in the DMZ.

I want to give users access to OWA. Also, use SSL, but offload it to the
RRAS IIS server. Then redirect to Exchange for OWA access.
