I am subscribed to a TV channel that I access through a
website that has a link with a box where I have to type my
user name and password every time I want to connect to the
    service.

Once I do that, a new window pops up on my screen,
with "Windows Media Player 9" on the top left corner of
this window, but no contrast, color, brightness controls
are shown, only volume and stop, and I would like to be
able to fix this image since it is way too dark.

    How can I do this?.

    Thanks,

WMP doesn't support that. The minimal video controls WMP has aren't meant
to correct for your monitor's issues, just for very select situations.
You'd need to select another angle - either fix the monitor's brightness
level or ask about getting the content tweaked for this.
