"IMAP" is not a valid host name or mail server name.
You get the correct mail server names and settings from your
mail service provider. If you need help with that, tell us who your
mail service provider is.

internet providers as their email providers also, since most internet
accounts
include one or more email accounts. If they haven't written instructions
for
Windows Mail yet, their instructions for Outlook Express should also work
under Windows Mail if they don't call for the HTTP protocol. The
instructions
are probably somewhere on their web site. Or, you could tell us who your
email provider is, and see if anyone here already knows where to find their
instructions.

Sure, just read the information here:

Those instructions are for Outlook Express, but Windows mail uses the same settings.

Hi, I am also trying to set up windows mails using IMAP. I use comcast.net,
but have not found the instructions for incoming or outgoing servers. Can
anybody help me?

I doubt that Comcast offers IMAP.
but for POP3, try using these instructions (for OE, but it's the same for
WM)
