It would be nice to be able to Import all my Outlook Expres data, Contacts
Emails sent received etc In one go.
Also some was to enlarge the icons on the top Send and receive etc.
Als some progress indication bar as to the process actually taking place.
But most import is to be able to have ALL the contacts list bottom left as
in Outlook Express so you can just double click on a contact to send email
Instead of the convoluted was you have to do it in the current build.

  2. Have you tried importing from file--> import in WLM? You should be able to
import all of your OE data. Importing contacts can be done through the
file --> import when you are in the contacts UI.

And thanks for the feedback on your other recommendations. We will consider
    them for an upcoming release.

Hi Justin Thanks for the info.
Every time i try to export my messages I just get the option to Export to
Outlook or Exchange Neither of which I use.
But even so I get a MAPI error message every try I try And outlook express
    is my default email client.
I really cannot understand why there is no any easy option to save all my
data in one file in Outlook Express then just Import the same file into
Windows mail or Windows Live Mail neither of which I will be using anyway
till I have the option of having my email address in the bottom left corner
And i can send an email with a double click.
I will not be moving to Vista till this happens.
    Thanks Ronnie

If you go to File->IMPORT, you should see several sources to import from,
    including Microsoft Outlook Express 6.

You will need to know the location of your OE6 store. You can find this
through Tools->Options->Maintenance tab->Store Folder in OE6. You can copy
this and paste it into the import browse dialog in WLM.

Did you previously have an earlier build of WLMd installed on this machine?
Was OE6 running the first time you launched WLM?

    Thanks!

Hi Dima Yes It was a first install of WLM
I have lost interest anyway As far as i can see WLM is a step backwards I
used OE for years Worked fine for me Had a little program called Express
Assist which backed up restored ALL my data in OE in one operation no problem
But on course it does not work in Vista like a few of my other programs.Wish
i could uninstall Windows Mail and install OE again.
I really mist not having ALL my contacts in the bottom left pane.

    Thanks for the help anyway.

Export from MS Outlook Express only ever worked when the destination was MS
MS Outlook, or MS Exchange. That is a "feature" of MS Outlook Express, and
    it will never be changed.

Instead of exporting from MS Outlook Express, try importing to Windows Live
Mail; which means you open Windows Live Mail and use the "Import Messages"
    option in the menus.
