I tried to import a mpeg clip into movie maker 2 and a error message came up
that said I don't have a codec for this file type. I searched the web for
codecs and I downloaded one. After doing that, it let me import the mpeg clip
into the timeline in movie maker, but instead of putting the clip into the
video slot, it put it into the audio slot. I made the clip using a capture
card. Is this a problem with the codec or a problem with the movie and what
can I do to solve this problem?

You might want to ask in the MovieMaker newsgroup instead of the MediaCenter
newsgroup. However, I've heard that MovieMaker doesn't work well with
anything other than WMV videos and WMA audio files. You might try converting
to WMV and see if that helps. Also, which codec did you install? I've had
    generally good luck with FFDSHOW.
