Impressive new beta release

Discussion in 'Windows Live Mail' started by Richard Eckman, May 31, 2007.

  1. I gave up on the last Live Mail Desktop beta a few months ago. This new
release is a huge improvement. The look and feel are really cleaned up; it's
much more like a desktop application. The old beta had an odd sense to it:
something that was sort of strange. You had to login to your Live ID just to
open the app. I'm impressed with the new release. And, it goes without
saying that the lack of adverts is a huge improvement, as is the ability to
    hide the active search menu.

omg, I so want a link to download the new one, Microsoft sent me an email
    saying that all the Beta slots were full :( :( :( :( :( :(

Stupid connect site, I mean, limiting your demographics for Beta testers and
the number of open slots is just plain stupid.

  8. Wow, I just noticed it does real-time spell checking, and underlines
the misspelled word with a squiggly line right after the word is typed.
Does everyone have this, or is it a byproduct of also having Office
    2007 installed?

I don't have Office "007 but I get squiggly bits.
