initial ie load is slow on Vista

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by WebBuilder451, Feb 23, 2007.

  1. This may not have anything to do with Vista. My initial connection on load
is slow, about 10-15 seconds. The same site or initial connection using
firefox is not slow. Both have google.com set as the home page. I'm currently
using OneCare from MS. This slowdown occured shortly after i upgraded to
Vista. I've run scans using Ad-Aware and the OneCare Utility, but so far no
    hits.

    Very open to suggestions

  2. What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
    Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
    Explorer (No Add-ons).

  4. Then I guess one of your add-ons is the cause of your problem.
