I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered in
the newsgroup. I have tried doing several searches, but
the web page just keeps timing out.

My question is for Windows Server 2003: is there a way to
install the Hotfixes (such as KB823980) through the
Unattend.txt method, so that it would be installed prior
to the server logging into the network, and therefore
    being succeptible to any viruses?

I have read some stuff on the cmdlines.txt portion of the
unattend.txt, but I am not clear if this is something that
we can use to install hotfixes, or even service packs.

    Here's how to do it.;en-
Please let me know if you succeed by following the
instructions, iv'e been using this method with great
success on Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Prof and
Windows XP Prof, but still no luck when trying on Windows
    Server 2003.

  5. Not the way I saw it:
Prior to logging on would be prior to the first boot, which is what that
    article explains

Only reply by newsgroup. If I see an email I didn't ask for, it will be
    deleted without reading.
