Is a PCI Express X1(not X16) slot faster than a standard PCI slot?

    Is a PCI Express X1(not X16) slot faster than a standard PCI slot?

    PCIe runs at 100MhZ. I think that PCI runs at 33MhZ, or perhaps 66
    tops. Therefore it would be faster at the level of transmission. Now,
    the pipeline size ... I'll defer to another!

  3. Yes. 133MB/s verses 250MB/s (500MB/s for PCIe v2.0).

    If many video clips run "choppy", is that an indication that the video card
    is too slow or is the slot too slow?
