Pardon my ignorance, but whenever I choose full screen I
still get the control/bar on the bottom, and some grey
border up TOP of the image... does media player 9 do a
REAL full screen like earlier versions (I used to just hit
ALT-ENTER and image would fill entire screen w/out
    controls)

    Thanks.

If I am understanding you correctly, you want to get rid
of the toolbar and go to fullscreen skin mode? In wmp9 do
this: With the title bar visible, select view, full mode
options, and then select "autohide" menu bar. Then
minimize wmp, now you can make it any size you want. If
you maximize, however, the menu bar on top still appears.
If this doesn't answer you question, tinker with
the "view" options until you get the desired results!

after you have gone full screen at the top of you screen
there is a bar with a windows logo, next to this logo is
a button that looks like a thumb tack. when the thumb
tack is at a horizontal angle this will auto hide the bar
after there mouse is still. if you do not want to auto
hide click the button so that the pin is at an 70 degree
angle. and there you have your auto hide, the truly full
screen mode you are looking for.

    As the others said.

Or get TweakMP from http://www.wmplugins.com and adjust the full screen
settings how you want 'em. :)
