is there no body who knows how to open an port on windows server 2

    hi

    i am very disappoint with the behaviour of microsoft that , i am asking
    atleast 10 times that how can i open the port 110 on windows server 2003(sp1)
    and i am getting no response , is there any body present who help me out of
    this prob .

    To address your question
    Assuming you are talking about the built in firewall that is part of Windows
    Server 2003 SP1 then you just go to Control Panel ... Windows Firewall ...
    Exceptions (tab) ... Add Port ... (button)

    Yo will need to let us know what you are trying to achieve? Do you wan't
    to run POP3 on this server? have you installed a POP3 Server on this
    machine?

    Have you opened up the necessary ports in the firewall?
