Hi all. I've been browsing and searching this board for anything that would
help. I've tried unistalling and reinstalling the IR receiver, replacing the
batteries, shorting the remote, Tweak MCE, etc...and nothing works. I have a
RC6 remote that came with the computer that used to work. I had a decoder
error that i fixed from the info i found here(don't really remember how i did
it. it involved typing a command from the CMD prompt to re-register something
within MCE), but now my remote doesn't work. The IR receiver blinks red when
i press a button on the remote, its just that nothing happens. None of the
button makes the computer respond. Please help, i'm extremely frustrated.

  2. If you open Notepad and press the numbers on the remote, do any of them show
    up in Notepad?
