Javascript failing in IE8 - xml data islands

Hi,

We use xml data islands in our web application.

When I try to add a child node to the parent windows xml object from the
newly opened popup window (used window.open), it is failing.

In other words, If I give
opener.mainxml.documentelement.appendchild(atestnode) from the popup window,
it is failing.

The jscript error is simply "Error"
