i have a pop3 acct set to forward to a live acct delta sync. wlm client
marks a contact mail as junk. i've done everything i can think of, by adding
it to my contacts, marking as "not junk" "allow sender" etc. any help?

WLMail does not mark emails as junk. That is done before the email is
    downloaded.

Login to the web access, Windows Live Hotmail. go to Options (far right
side of screen) - More Options (last item in list) - and see Junk emails
with two items you can customize, "Filters and reporting", and, "Safe and
blocked senders". That's most likely where your issue originates.

really? why are they getting marked junk when filters are set to low, and
both domains and email addresses are marked safe? why do mvp's top post?
cause they know nothing about nntp. you're a jerk ron.

thanks again slk759. i did some more digging after reading your post and you
were right in that for some reason there was a filter to send my pop3
address to junk by default...?? i won't know for sure until they i am
forwarded another email from that account, though i was recieving all other
forwarded mail except from this particular sender.

    Fyi...
If using a Live ID account of the form Hotmail.com, Live.com, or Msn.com, then the web Junk Filter takes precedent filtering prior
to delivering to that Live ID Hotmail web UI Inbox. Mail forwarded from a Pop3 to the Live ID Inbox passes through the same web UI
    filter.

A Live ID account of the form Hotmail, Live, Msn.com setup in WLM as an http will mirror the folders on the web. If something
arrives in that account's Inbox that is still suspect, WLM may filter it to the junk mail folder.

If one finds that their email address is being filtered as junk, then the cause is usually due spammers falsifying the sending
addresses and the user upon receipt determining that the message regardless of the original source(now forged with the users email)
is/was spam and subsequently clicking the option to block or classify the message as spam, inevitably blocking their own address.
