Just got Uverse IPTV, can't get MC to complete TV signal setup

greetings
I just had Uverse IPTV installed 2 days ago. Been trying to set up the TV
signal since then. I get to the part in the setup wizard where you punch in
a channel and see if you can change to that channel with the remote...and I
end up in an endless loop. Can't hit next to move forward to the next step,
even if everything seems to be working correctly. Can't determine if this is
an issue with MC, or the TV tuner card/setup? Would reinstalling MC be
something to consider? Or are one or both of these componentsis just not
capable of working with IPTV? I am somewhat technical...enough to be
dangerous...thanks in advance for any help offered!
