    Hi Luc

Only the Automatic Update is repeatedly offering this update but it does NOT show on the Windows Update Site. The only "critical" update available under the Windows Update site is Service Pack 1.

    Hi Kojow

Thanks for the info. Are both Automatic Update and the Windows Update sit
    offering the update
With all critical updates installed excluding XP SP1 the Windows Update sit
should only offer Service Pack 1, Automatic Update should not offer an
    updates

Lucy--I'm having the same problem (and also with several other updates)

I checked all those files you listed (which was kind of a pain!) and they are all equal or less than the specified versions, as you stated. What now?

    Hello,

I am having the same problem.

It initilly put a reg entry in a new value SP0 instead of SP2 like the rest.
I moved it to the SP2 reg value and it hasnt put it back in the SP0 one but it
still comes back on the Web List.

    It says I am missing:

ref tag c:\windows\system32\sp4.cab does not exist
    ***
ref tag c:\windows\system32\sp3.cab does not exist

    I FOUND OUT A FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys if you turned off Windows File Protection and deleted the
"C:\Program Files\NetMeeting" Directory, the update will continue to
show up. If the folder is back and all its inerds there the update
    goes away.

    Cool.

  6. My NetMeeting directory is there, though I may have gotten rid of some
other part of that unwanted baggage at some point, or maybe even been
offered the opportunity to not install it (could happen). What the
    bleep is Windows File Protection?

    Thanks,

    I FOUND OUT A FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to say thanks JD!!!! This worked just fine on my wife's
machine. She'd been getting the blasted thing installed everyday.
When I setup her machine, I'd uninstalled NetMeeting. The directory
was still there, but was empty. All I did was copied the contents of
mine over to her machine, went to WindowsUpdate and installed kb835732
one more time. After it installed, we went back to WindowsUpdate and
    it was no longer presented.

    So, kudos to you!

I found that the Windows Update website also recommends this update
even though I have already installed the update several times.

Just curious if MS has any plans to address the issue with this patch
that requires that NetMeeting be in place...
