    Affirmative. KB913446 fails to install - with an errror: 0x80242006.
    Microsoft please fix. Four other upgrades loaded with no problem.

    No luck here either; same update same error code, multiple tries. Also will
    not install using automatic updates.

    The KB913446 will not install on my Win XP Professional. I will try to get
    the update on the four other computers with XP in our home.

    You'll have to manually download this file and install it.

    Download the file for your Windows XP, US English system from:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...74-c37b-472b-bb10-71d4680680a7&DisplayLang=en

    Save the file to your desktop or enywhere else you want to temporarily
    save it to.

    Turn off your antivirus software, If using dial-up connection, quit it
    for now, then double-click the file you just downloaded to start the
    installtion.

    After the installation of this file, restart your computer and make
    sure your A/V software is back on.

    That should do it.

    Thank goodness it's not just my computer then. Error 0x80242006 for this fix
    here, and I gave it a couple of goes.

    Looks like MS blew it on this update.
