    Hi all,
I have around 800 PCs, mostly XP. There is WSUS 3 SP1 in place, with
    auto-approve rules for most updates.
It is working well, updates are being installed over night.
Lately I got a lot of reports from users, that they are being bothered by
    messages about updates.
After a bit of digging I found out about update KB928416, Microsoft .NET
Framework 3.0: language pack for x86 CPUs. It tries to install continously,
even if its for older version of NET.
When trying to install manually, I'm getting:
Installer detected newer version of this application. Use add/Remove
programs to repair or remove application.
I tried to remove NET manually on one affected PC, however it won't
uninstall, saying something about being needed by other applications.

So far I have 71 PCs with this symptoms, any idea how to fix this? Manual
install/remove is not really an option, I have many users on remote sites.

    Any feedback appreciated.
    Chris

  2. If the package is already installed, I would suggest you DECLINE the
    package.

Why distribute a package that isn't needed and is causing problems?
