  3. Hello,

    Thank you for posting here.

    According to your description, I understand that:

    You cannot install the hotfix in Microsoft KB 961143.

    If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

    Suggestions #1:
    ======================
    First of all, to isolate the issue from the effect from any 3rd party
    software on the SBS server, please try to boot the SBS sever into the safe
    mode and check whether you will be able to install the hoxfix.

    Suggestions #2:
    ======================
    As Susan mentioned, please double check whether your SBS server fulfill the
    prerequisites to install the hotfix.

    1. Do you have .NET Framework 2.0 installed?
    2. Do you installed the Service Pack 2 on the SBS server?

    Hope it helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not
    hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards,

    Miles Li

  6. Hello Scott,

    As this a separate post about a same issue, could you please create a new
    thread in the SBS Newsgroup?
    Please also inform me the post subject so that we may continue to
    troubleshoot the issue in that post.

    Moreover, for further investigation of the issue, please help to collect
    the QFE log in %temp% folder. The file is named QFE73170.log that
    corresponds to KB 961143. You may send the log to me at
    to check.

    Here is a successful installation log for your reference:
