Keep getting offline files need to synchronize message

    I tried to implement the redirection of the My Documents folder on my network
    and started more problems than I solved. I've removed the group policy. Now
    whenever I log on the the console of my server I have an icon in the system
    tray with a message "offline files need to synchronize." I can't get this
    message to go away and I'm also unable to synchronize any files. This is the
    only computer with this message and it is also the computer where the
    redirected folders resided. It is a w2k server and all service packs and
    patches have been applied. Any help is appreciated.
