I have two live.co.uk email addresses.
One of them , every time I open Live mail, keeps asking for the password.
    Not the other, though
Why is this ? And it's very irritating.
I also am trying Outlook, and it does not set live mail.
It sets my gmail fine, but not MS's own live mail
    Again, why ?

Is WLMail asking for the Live ID login?
Does it show your Live ID under the Close X?

Outlook 2003 or 2007 have to have Outlook Connector to use http Hotmail
access. Older Outlooks must use pop3.

It shows the email address and asks for the password - always.
But I have two - and it never asks for the password with other one
And yes, I do tick the "remember password" box !

  4. There are two potential issues.

    1) When WLM is started you may optionally sign into a live id. This is
used for synching the contacts, calendar book etc. It is Not used for
sending and receiving mail. For more information, see Tools, Options,
Connection. Only one account can be signed in at a time.

    2) Each mail account that you have set up has (Tools, Accounts, Mail)
has its own settings including password, that is used to send and
receive mail. This is independent of the sign on above.

Sounds like you may be talking about the first one.

That seems to have done the trick, Michael. Thanks !
