I store all my media files on a network drive. My media PC can play them
without a problem but my extender won't display any of these files. When I
go to add a folder none of the network drives (that are on my media PC)
showup on the extender. When I try to remove a folder the network drive does
show up on the extender as a folder that is being read but again none of the
files show up. Anybody have a solution?

You need to make sure that the shared network
    folders are readable by everyone.

    Hi Bob,
I have the My Documents folder shared on my network to "Everyone". When I
try and add folders from either one on the computer or shared I don't see it.
The kicker is that when I go to remove folders I see the shared drive "z:/My
Documents" as a choice. I tried this in Pictures, videos and Music.

I am sure I have seen this question before but maybe not.

Andy Vanosdale has done a blog on this that can be found at:

In short terms, the extender needs to have a drive mapping made to your
shared drive, you create a command file to do this and run it when the mcx
user logs in... see the link for details.

PS: I know this works since I use it on my extender.

    Bradley,
this is great. I'm going to try it tonight but I don't have a Domain. I'm
running a peer to peer network. Do you think this will work as well? Any
idea how the command would change?
    thanks
