Linksys WMCE54AG Does not connect

    I just connected a brand new WMCE to my MPC 2005, software installs perfect
    in PC, I ran the Rollup update, perfect installation.

    When I try to register the extender, it hangs up for 3 mins and then it says
    that it couldn't find any. The extender says "connecting"...

    I checked the .log file and it is getting timed out at the following line
    even though the device is being recognized:
    "Waiting for security codes exchange status. "

    - Already eliminated any Firewall issue
    - No antivirus nor spyware
    - FUS and Desktop Login options set
    - Using a direct connection through a switch to avoid Router problem

    Don't know what else to try ????

    Info button while you're on the contacting/connecting screen)

    If you're trying to connect wirelessly, I had an issue with the broadcast of
    the SSID from the router being disabled. I enabled this on my router and the
    connection worked fine. Hope this helps...

    Fixed by downloading update rollup and installing.
    I found that you can download the firmware upgrade to the MCX using Layer 2.
    So even though the MCX is not affiliated. You put the MCX in upgrade mode by
    switching it off and on back with the standby button pressed.
