I have a custom homepage.html and use it to link to internet, intranet, AND
    local files.

But IE7 security is simply ignoring file:///c:/x/y/z.html links.

How can I have my homepage link to other .html files on my computer? (I
have a local Java DOC API on my harddrive I'd like to link to.)

I want a Local Machine Web Page to acces ANOTHER Local Machine Web Page. How
would a MOTW help me do this? MOTW is for running in a "more restrictive than
the Local Machine zone" (from the MOTW page).

I'm pretty sure IE6 had somekind of option for this because it was working
    fine before IE7.

    I finally figured this out.

The file had a hidden security attribute that was limiting its access. In
the file's attribute there was a NEW Security message with the ability to
    "Unblock" this file.

To learn more google this: "This file came from another computer and might
be blocked to help protect this computer."
