Location of Temporary Internet Files Folder

I regularly clean up my computer at that end of the day. In Internet
Explorer 6, the Temporary Internet Files were included as a sub-folder of the
hidden file, Local Settings that is, in turn a sub-folder of another file
    [user's name] which lastly is a sub-folder in C://Documents and Settings. I
have just installed the latest beta version of Internet Explorer (I love
it!), but I can't find the Temporary Internet Files. Can anyone tell me
    where it's located?

    Hi,
With IE7 Beta 3 my TIF folder is still at C:\Documents and
    Settings\username\Local Settings.

    Go to Internet Options> General> Browsing history> Settings> Current
location. Where does IE say that the TIF folder is located?

    Hope this helps,
    Don

I'm trying IE7 Beta 3 on XP SP2 32-bit but also test driving a limited
account. With windows explorer I can not see TIF folder. If I go to a
command prompt and use attrib with explicit path then it can be seen. I am
also able to cd into the TIF folder.

  4. Something is tickling at the back of my mind here about this, but I've been
so busy I've fallen behind in keeping up to date with the latest changes. I
suspect this is expected behaviour now - likely security related.

Thanks to all of you from the help. The Temporary Internet File as well as
the History file are hidden files. In order to see them you have to go to
the Folder Options in the Tools section of the Local Settings File. At that
point under View you need to click off the Hide Protected System Files. I
wouldn't have found it without your help. Thanks again.

  6. Interesting; I have that option enabled but can only see the containing
    folder, not the contents themselves.

In fact, my TIF is under 'Default User', not 'User'.
I can go there and see all the contents or
I can see them from Internet Options although
there it points to 'User' which has not any TIF inside.
    Amazing.
    Regards.

I too have those options enabled, and even under an administrator account I
can not see even the TIF folder, neither from Windows Explorer nor from
command prompt using dir. Using attrib confirms that it is there and I can cd
into the folder. Inside mine for both accounts (computer administrator and
limited) I have folders named AntiPhishing and Low.
