When ever I log in, the system automatically logs me out. This is the same
for the administrator account. I have tried doing a repair at the first
repair option not the repair install

    and type

    "cd system32" then
"copy userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe" (without the "", of course)

then I rebooted, still have the same problem. I am wondering if there is fix
for this. I used a fairly recent disk image to restore the system back to
    normal.

  2. The problem may be an incorrect sysstem drive letter rather than
userinit.exe. Open the registry via a networked machine, navigate
to HKLM\SYSTEM\MountedDevices and delete all values that
look like this: \DosDevices\C:. Now reboot and try again!
