  1. HI,
I've a strange problem with my Windows 2003 STD ED.
Suddenly the remote desktop connection stops to work and the login and
logout and shutdown process are very very slowly.(35h for shutting down..and
5 H for login). Also when I try to see the network properties the system hangs
on... but If I see the properties using the promt everything is ok.
Any one knows what's the problem???????

  2. Hi,

Can you check your Application and System Event logs to see if there are any
errors or other events reported there that could explain what is going on?
What is the role of this server? Is it domain controller, exchange server,
    file server... ?

  3. No! there isn't any logs in the System Events...
    The server is a PCD.
All the users works normally... the problem is only in the server console.

  4. How is DNS set up on this server? Where does preferred DNS setting point to
    (under TCP/IP properties)?

Do you have an APC UPS on the computer running Software version 6.xx.
If so, then search this group as it has been a very common problem since
    July 27th 2005.
