Loss of Network Connectivity and Hard Drive After Sleep or Hibernate

Discussion in 'Windows Vista General Discussion' started by Bradley Portnoy, Feb 12, 2007.

  1. Hi all,
Have been using Vista without issue until last week, when the following
problem came up: when resuming from sleep or hibernate, I lose complete
network connectivity, and unlike the other posts on the newsgroup,
repairing the connection crashes, resulting in a blue screen, instead of
restoring connectivity. I am also unable to open the Control Panel when
this happens; it hangs when it is loading the default control panel screen.
Also, this may or may not be related, but before I had the network
issues, I would sometimes lose recognition of my IEEE1394 hard drive on
waking from sleep; this now always happens, but was and is fixable by
    unplugging and reinserting the cable.
Thanks all in advance for any help that you can provide. For
reference, my network adapter is a Marvell Yukon Gigabit, and is running
    the latest drivers (1/29).
