This is a Windows 2003 Server Std SP1 fully patched.
After the server has cold-booted or restarted and a few minutes has passed
the Lsass.exe takes the CPU to 100% and stays there.
I have run worm checks and he lsass.exe (3/25/03 8AM) seems ok.
The hosts file is clear. Is this file corrupt?
    Should it be replaced?

    Thanks in advance!

    Duncan,

This is a documented problem that is repaired in SP2. There are also some
hotfixes if the SP doesn't fully resolve the error.

Unfortunately, SP2 will not install before the process max's out and stops
    the install.
