    The phenomenon:

My settings are to Group Messages and I've deactivated and activated this
setting with no change in the weirdness.

I am getting lots of seemingly "initial" headers (no "+" icon) which begin
"Re:xxxxxxxxxx". While not unique to this NG, it is a very, very recurrent
one here and many of them have been posted by you. By way of example, I
include at the end of my missive the body of one which my system shows you
as having posted at 12:28 today, August 28. When I click on the link to the
original message, I get a message indicating that OE was unable to retrieve
the requested message, that the message was likely expired or removed. Zero
results as well when doign a "Find" using the "Subject".

This is the case with some 10-15 similar "Re:xxxxxxx" posts from you on
which I did a quick frisk. By the way, there are approximately 90 similar
"Re:xxxxxxx" posts from you in the 500 headers which are downloaded in this
    NG for me.

I'm aware of your style & know that you get back quickly to people. I
strongly suspect that this was a post made by you some significant time ago,
long before the time of the final header in the list of 500, which, by the
way was "supposedly" posted at 2:26 a.m. on August 26. I doubt that you
would have any way of determining exactly when this post was made, but am
wondering if you might have any way of at least confirming that it hasn't
been posted either at 12:28 today or at any time in the past 2-3 days.

I have posted this quirk on the OE newsgroup (along with an equally bizarre
OE phenomenon) but as yet have received no helpful response - actually zero
responses to this quirk - the focus, such as it is, has been on the other
truly bizarre weirdness - a list comprised of 9296 headers.

Any clues or info you might have will be helpful in the information
    gathering process.

This problem was corrected yesterday. This issue should be resolved.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi Maggie,

I replied to Dan's post today 8/28 at 9:28 AM PST. I'm really not sure what
is going on with Outlook Express.

Have you checked your Synchronization Settings?

Right click on the newsgroup and select "Synchronization Settings" set it to
    "All Messages" then Synchronize.

You may want to take a look at the Outlook Express Support Page or Contact
    Microsoft to resolve the problem.;EN-US;oex
