Hi how can i play M4A files in Win Media Player version 11. O/S is Win XP
each time i try a box appears saying Windows cannot open this file, do i
need to install something to enable it to play?

    Thank you

  2. In my previous reply I meant plugin , not just codec. Also inadvertently
posted my previous in HTML. sorry about that.

    Neil,

    FYI, unfortunately that now says

'The Orban/Dolby(Coding Technology) Windows Media Plug-in taken down at
    Dolby's request'

However, the codec is available at

  3. Odd, I had clicked on your link which for me showed what I'd posted. Checked
it again just now, it does not have 'get it here' anywhere on the page :).
Your direct link to the file does work, though.

In addition, if you also want WMP to add the M4A files to the library,
and you want support for M4A metadata in WMP, you need to install the
WMP Tag Plus plug-in as well: http://bmproductions.fixnum.org/wmptagplus
