Hi all, need to setup an Exchange mailbox for a user that's not in the
office, an off-site user. They would access this mailbox via OWA (Outlook Web
Access). Is there any way to setup a Mailbox only connection in SBS2003 Prem,
or does one need to add a full user in Active Directory Users and Computers,
or Server Setup . Users? Thanks in advance - Dodge

  2. All Exchange 2003 mailboxes must be linked to a user account.

An alternative which may be suitable in this situation is to create a
'contact'. Email to a contact (eg ) is redirected to their
existing email address (say, ) and the user never logs onto
    the server.

SuperGumby -- thanks for the clarification and suggestion. Question, the
suggested alternative... if someone responded to an email - it would not look
like it came from the domain and email address it was sent to - is that
    correct?
    thanks again - Dodge

  4. Unless you take additional steps return email comes from but
it's easy to add an additional account to their email program which collects
no mail but allows sending from .
