Making WMP NOT a default player

    Every time I insert a CD into a drive Windows Media
    immediately kicks off plating even though in options I
    have turned it off as the default player for all supported
    Media types. Any suggestions to make it it not launch for
    audio CD's?

    Start menu > My computer

    then select your CD drive then right mouse click then
    select properties then select autoplay tab and then
    select what action you wish to take when music CD is
    inserted.
