Manage libraries with home server

I've using an HP's MediaSmart Server / HP Media Collector to collect media
from our networked pcs. I've just upgraded this pc with Windows 7. I did
not restore my WMP music files on this pc because I have them on the server.
WPP on this pc recognizes music folder on the server & all works well.

However, I also have an iTunes account which stores music on this pc. When
I add a music file to iTunes, the server Media Collector sees the new file
and copies it to the server.

So, when I add a CD to iTunes, it's also added to the server. When I open
WMP and find the new album, there are 2 of each song: one from the server and
one from the iTunes folder. WMP maintains these to folders in the library:
the server folder and the local Music folder.

How can I get WMP to list only one song? Or, maybe a better question,
what's the best way to manage multiple folders?

    Maybe I’m overlooking something but
-the media collector copies every media found on your PC to the server
-WMP scans the server and the local folder therefore you get duplicates
-Remove the local folder from the monitored folder in WMP and you should
    have everything without duplicates
