I just bought a Toshiba P25-607 which is running MCE 2002. I contacted
Toshiba and got an Upgrade disc to MCE 2004. I ran the upgrade disc
and don't see any real differences. It still says "XP Media Center
Edition" on the start menu, and "Microsoft Windows XP, Media Center
Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 1" in the "General" tab of System
Properties. If there aren't any cosmetic changes when an upgrade to
MCE 2004 takes place, is there any other way to detemine whether the
upgrade was successful? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

From the Startup screen check Settings, General, About... Only the
application changed for 2004 not the undelying OS.
