    Hi,

I have a rebadged Advanced Digital Broadcast digital set top box (ADB3000)
from my cable operator Starhub (Singapore).

Windows Media Center PC set up is finding it impossible to auto-recognize or
learn the signals sent from the remote controller.

The hardware set up and been checked and rechecked several times over, and
    the IR blaster's working fine.

Does anyone have any success in setting this STB for remote control in MCE?
MCE can't change the STB's channel now and the usefulness of the recording
function is severely impeded as a result.

    Appreciate any help or information,

    Thanks in advance,

    Allan.

Sadly, my MCE is not recognising any of the signals from the remote and it is
    not learning at all!

Noticed that my MCE seems to be 2002 rather than 2005 or 2005ru2! (Saw this
    System Properties)

    Correction.

From Media Center's software version, my MCE is MCE2005 with rollup 2. =o)

But that doesn't change a thing about the failure of MCE to recognise the
    ADB3000's remote controller signals. :-(

If yoy've got the IR Blaster working, have you solved the next Singapore
problem? Is there any EPG data available for Singapore / starHub? If so,
could you tell me how to obtain.

    thanks,
    richard.

I have got the EPG working using TVxB from www.tvxb.com and BladeRunner to
update the EPG in MCE. Works a treat.

Still can't get the IR Blaster to work with the STB - has onyone solved this
    problem ?
