MCE Remote Control to Ferguson DVB-TV Set-top box

    I've a replacement Elonex Exentia PC, but can't seem to get the IR
    control to change my dvb tv set-top box. The last Elonex Exentia
    machine I had worked perfectly and autochanged the box ok (Ferguson
    FDT500) via the IR CONTROL cable.
    Now when I change the channel the cable appears to work (i.e. I can
    see the red light flash at the end of the cable connected to the
    set-top box) - but nothing happens. Are there any updates that I'm
    missing on this new PC? I even tried training my PC to recognise the
    Set-top box RC but it seems to get caught in an endless loop (took
    40mins to get to button 3!!! after which point I gave up)
    All help appreciated
