MCE Remote Keyboard mouse pointer problems

Hi - I've built up a MCE PC and after resolving many issues have most
everything working. However, my big disappointment is that the mouse
pointer on the new MCE keyboard is either useless or defective. While the
pointer does slowly move, it is very erratic and impossible to place
accurately. (An external mouse and the rest of the MCE keyboard works fine.)
I've checked the drivers, installed the rollup updates and all. (Although
I have not found any way to adjust the sensitivity settings in software.)
Before I return the MCE keyboard for a refund, are there any ideas on what
    could be going wrong ?

    regards,

    Bill

  2. Its the mouse. Most people have problems with it. I find it works a little better with some use, but its still somewhat erratic.

It works better if you press down on it while moving, and set the mouse speed
way down (Control Panel->Mouse). Or forget the "eraser" and get a decent
wireless mouse (bluetooth or Gyration) to use along with the keyboard.

I suggest you get that RMA. I was VERY disappointed with this keyboard. I
really hoped it would be a perfect solution, but MS really dropped the ball
on the mouse part. I absolutely love the design, layout, everything else
about it. But they really should have gone with a trackball instead of the
eraser point. Here's to hoping a v2 keyboard comes along shortly.
