Having just purchased MCE2005 and ready to build a system from scrtach, I
    have these questions.
First, the hardware i already own...UNOPENED (Non returnanble too)

    AIW 9800PRO
    HDTV Wonder

Now, I want to be able to enjoy using MCE2005's controls over ATI's

I also want to be able to record over the air HDTV and standard cable.

Do I need to purchase the EHome wonder?

If so, will these three cards exist simulataneoulst in the same system?

That is the AIW9800 Pro, The HDTV wonder, and the e home wonder?

Also, Will I still be able to use the AIW 9800's MMC control on it 's own?

Will the $20 software encoder that ATI offers make the AIW9800 usable?
    I have a 3.2 ghz HT PROCESSOR.

I don't suppose recording with the AIW 9800 and with MCE2005
    simulataneously is possible, is it?

Thanks for the advice in advance,

see the previous post about the possibility of getting this to work, it
appears some have gotten this to work even though its unsupported. and yes
the SW encode CD was required iirc.

its your call to go with an unsupported option or spend for an eHome Wonder.

and yes they will all co-exist but you will need to disable the tuner part
    of the AIW.

    Quick Follow-up Phil,

If I disable the AIW 9800 Tuner part as you say, would i still be able to
output HDTV to my 65 inch tv viv the component output dongle, to play dvd ,

    it would be like this
eHome Wonder for analog tv tuning ( has to be at least 1 of these in the
MCE PC or it will not function properly )
HDTV Wonder for OTA HD tuning
9800 AIW ( with tuner disabled ) for display only.

I do believe the 9800 can output to an HDTV, the HDTV adapter may or may not
be required. in the multimedia forum would be a good place to ask
