    Satellite Network: Dish Network
    Set Top Box Model: DP811

    Computer:

    HP Digital Entertainment Center Z557
    RAM: 1 GB
    Processor: Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
OS Version: Windows Media Center Edition Version 2005 Rollup 2 all available
    updates installed.

There is currently no code available to me in the setup process that will
control my Satellite Set Top Box. I tried to configure the remote manually
but, when I tried to change channels it would send out multiple numbers. For
example: entering 120 on my remote would output 000-200-0 to my set top box.
My infared sensor is correctly placed on the front of the unit. Any idea
when Microsoft will be releasing an update for additional set top box
support? I thought that I had seen one on the MCE software downloads page
but when I tried to install it, it said I had the wrong OS Version for that
    update... Very confusing.

I ran into a very similar situation. The problem stems from the fact that
most of Dish Networks high end receivers use UHF rather than IR. That means
that the Media Center is probably doing everything right, but that your
    reciever isn't "listening" on IR.

The good news is that there is a way to tell your receiver to use IR and
then you will be in good shape. I found the instructions for setting up the
    receiver at www.thegreenbutton.com.
